About this space
Booking a Zone does not provide exclusive use of public infrastructure such as the BBQ Shelters, picnic benches or playground areas but they can be used during your booking if vacant.
Read Park is home to the Victoria Park Community Garden. The park also has a playground, public toilets and a rejuvenation station to get those muscles working.
Zone 3 (please refer to zone map in the photos) is a green open space area, well shaded by trees and is located next to the the playground and exercise equipment and is close walking distance to the public toilets and the Vic Park Community Garden ([email protected]).

Rules
All booking organisers are required to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. The requirements for the safe operation of a booking on Town land are:
maintain a strict limit of a minimum of two square metres (2sqm) per person
maintain hygiene and frequent cleaning
self-complete a COVID Safety Plan prior to the booking
display a COVID Safety Plan Certificate
disinfect shared equipment between use

Discount code Not-for-Profit: NFP2019.
A Certificate of Incorporation will be required to prove Not-for-Profit or Registered Charity status to apply the discount code and be charged the Not-for-Profit rate. Please email Certificate of Incorporation to [email protected], Attention it to Community Development Officer: Clubs, Events and Bookings.
Discount Code Individual Users: INDI2019
This code is for private bookings of individuals and community members for birthdays, weddings etc.
No discount is available for commercial bookings.
No smoking is allowed in enclosed areas (including tents/marquees) and within ten (10) metres of children’s playgrounds and any other specified areas, in accordance with the Tobacco Products Control Act 2006.
Casual Hirers are required to take all measures necessary to protect people and property.
Casual Hirers are required to prevent nuisance, unreasonable noise and disturbance to local residents.
The use of party poppers or throwing of confetti/rice is not permitted.
The releasing of balloons is not permitted.
Vehicles do not access the ground.
No stay/pegs are to be used for roping of the area or for tents, which extend further than 30cm into the ground.
Compliance with the Town’s policy on single use plastic and polystyrene. It includes the use, sale or distribution of single-use plastic and polystyrene at:
a. all Council buildings this includes club room facilities (except those buildings which are, or may become, subject to a lease or licence permitting the use of the building for commercial tenancy or residential occupancy);
b. all Council-run events; and
c. all market stalls held on Council land. This includes stands or booths where goods are sold at a market or event.
