About this space
G O Edwards Park features an ornamental lake with water birds and is home to the Heritage Circle public artwork which celebrates the Town's unique Indigenous and settlement history. There is a large gazebo overlooking the lake which is popular for wedding ceremonies.

Booking restrictions
Only 42 people permitted to be in the Gazebo at any one time.
At the April 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council considered a restriction on the use of GO Edwards Park for large scale events to preserve the wetlands and protect its flora and fauna effective immediately until the completion of the Public Open Space Strategy.
Until then, the Town will not be approving any large scale events or events that may cause harm to the wetlands or its flora and fauna at GO Edwards Park.
No discount is available for Gazebo bookings.
No smoking is allowed in enclosed areas (including tents/marquees) and within ten (10) metres of children’s playgrounds and any other specified areas, in accordance with the Tobacco Products Control Act 2006.
Casual Hirers are required to take all measures necessary to protect people and property.
Casual Hirers are required to prevent nuisance, unreasonable noise and disturbance to local residents.
The use of party poppers or throwing of confetti/rice is not permitted.
The releasing of balloons is not permitted.
Vehicles do not access the ground.
No stay/pegs are to be used for roping of the area or for tents, which extend further than 30cm into the ground.
Compliance with the Town’s policy on single use plastic and polystyrene. It includes the use, sale or distribution of single-use plastic and polystyrene at:
a. all Council buildings this includes club room facilities (except those buildings which are, or may become, subject to a lease or licence permitting the use of the building for commercial tenancy or residential occupancy);
b. all Council-run events; and
c. all market stalls held on Council land. This includes stands or booths where goods are sold at a market or event.
