About this space
The HUB 6163 is a vibrant community centre in the western side of Hamilton Hill next door to the Wally Hagan Basketball Stadium and only 3km from South Fremantle and South Beach. The full venue is an 80m2 indoor area and around 50m2 outdoor area. Community groups, classes, clubs and playgroups find the space comfortable and versatile. It is available for ongoing bookings as well as one-off sessions. The building includes access to a shared kitchen and accessible toilet facilities.
Please note: The Hub office hours are Fridays 8:30am to 3:30pm, and the facility can be hired Monday – Sunday from 6am to 11pm. Bookings with less than seven days’ notice may not be able to be accommodated.

Rules
The Hub 6163 is responsible for:
Taking every reasonable care and precaution to ensure that all utilities, services, and equipment are in proper working order, but will not accept responsibilities for breakdowns beyond our control.
Making every effort to provide a clean and tidy facility.
You are responsible for the conduct of all persons attending during your booking commencement and:
Inspecting the Hub and ensuring it is suitable for your purpose
Attending an induction before your booking commencement
Ensuring you have insurance for your activity, equipment, or supplies and public liability
Turning down the music to a socially acceptable level at 10 pm
Using only tagged and tested electrical equipment
Supervising children and pets and ensuring that any pet excreta is removed
Removing any rubbish and cleaning all areas that have been used and checking toilets
Leaving the venue in the same clean condition it was found
Reporting any incidents, both personal or property
Keeping the front doors closed at all times
Accessing only the areas that have been paid for.
Incidences
The applicant is liable for all damages and must have current insurance cover for public liability to $10,000,000.00. Casual hirers can apply for use of The HUB 6163 for less than ten hires in a financial year without public liability insurance.
All incidences are to be reported to the Hub via email or phone as soon as possible.
Decorations, equipment and arts and craft
The use of masking tape, blue tac, nails, hooks, staples, or any other fixing device on any internal or external surface, including the walls, windows, or doors is prohibited.
Due to occupational health and safety regulations and environmental requirements, confetti, balloons, streamers, paint, smoke machines, bubble machines, naked flames, or similar materials are prohibited inside or outside the facilities. There are limited storage facilities at the Hub; please do not store or drop off items outside of booking dates/times without permission.
Please use the tablecloths provided for arts and crafts activities. These are located in the storage room in the Ngoolark room
Please use only tagged and tested electrical equipment. If a hirer uses untagged/untested equipment and it causes an electrical fault (including power to trip) and invokes a call out, this fee will be charged to the hirer.
Cleaning equipment
The cleaning cupboard can be accessed from the hallway adjacent to the toilets. The cupboard directly in front contains brooms, a vacuum cleaner, a mop, and other items. Spot mop only. There is a spray bottle labelled ‘spot mop’ and a quick dry mop for use. Please use these items to clean the venue and return them to the cupboard when finished. Clean tea towels and mop heads are located on the right side, and dirty tea towels should be put in the basket on the left.
Tables and chairs
The hub has tables and chairs that can be used for your event, as well as a foldable whiteboard.
There are 10 blue plastic chairs, 23 black and white chairs and 12 white tables. If items are used outside, they must be returned to their storage location. Ensure you have wiped them down before packing them away. Extra chairs are available on request.
Kitchen
The HUB 6163 kitchen is not registered as a commercial kitchen. The kitchen includes crockery and cutlery, a fridge, an electric stove, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, and an urn (please advise if required). Tea and coffee are available by donation (a donation tin is on the bench). All kitchen items must be cleaned and returned to their original place after use. The tap water in the kitchen is filtered.
Please report any breakages and remove all your items from the fridge when you leave.
Outside equipment
Return the tables and chairs to where you found them, clean the BBQ, and cover the sandpit if you have used it.
First aid
There are two first aid boxes in the toilets. Please notify the hub if you use anything from the first aid boxes so the items can be replenished.
Fire equipment
Fire extinguishers are in the Ngoolyark room and the kitchen. In case of fire, please call Emergency Services 000. Evacuate the building and muster in a safe location away from the building.
Light switches aircon remote controls, and ceiling fans
Light switches for the Ngoolyark room are located on the wall near the doors, three switches are hidden behind a door when it is open. Please turn off all lights, including the hall, foyer, and storage/ cleaning cupboard lights. The bathrooms have sensor lights that will turn off automatically.
The relevant rooms have remote controls for electrical devices (fans, air conditioners, and projectors) on the walls.
Cancelling your booking
Please note that you must cancel your booking through Spacetoco. Please advise us if your cancellations are within three days. If you cancel your booking within three days, you will forfeit the total hire fees paid. Depending on circumstances and availability, you can apply for a transfer to another date without forfeiting it. If you require more time setting up and cleaning the Hub, please add additional time to your booking (a bump-in bump-out of 15 minutes is included on both sides of the hire time).
Bond
A bond, as per SpaceProtect, applies to all bookings. You will be liable for costs over the bond deposited. The bond will be held against the following:
Damage to the building or equipment.
Additional cleaning outside the allocated time.
Breach of the Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Any false or misleading information given regarding the nature of the booking.
Lost cards and stolen or damaged goods if the building has not been locked.
Failure to clean and lock the building will result in your bond being held for cleaning fees or the replacement of any goods that have been damaged or stolen. You will be charged for replacing a swipe card if it is not returned to the key safe box.
Security and emergency call out fees at the fault of the hirer.
Additional hours used that have not been covered by the original booking.
What to do after your function/activity
Departure checklist
Ensure all spaces you have used today, including the toilets, are left in a clean and tidy state. Please empty bins of any nappies and place them in the outside red bin
Return all chairs and tables to their original positions, including any items taken out of the storage cupboards. Advise The Hub on 0490 290 041 if you cannot return items taken from the storage room due to other hirers using the space
Place rubbish in the correct bins and take all excess rubbish with you. Please do not overfill the bins; make sure the lids can close
Return all cleaned utensils to the kitchen and place them in the correct locations
Close and lock sliding doors and close curtains
Ensure the door to the Koolbardi room is left open
Turn off lights, aircon/heating, and return remotes to their holders
Check the building for other hirers before locking up
Leave main door curtains open
Leave the entire building clean and tidy. Cleaning supplies are located in the hall cupboard. Sweep or vacuum the floor, including spot mopping any spillage.
Security
Please do not leave any valuables unattended. We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. The front doors must remain closed at all times.

Two free parking bays are available in front of the entrance
A large amount of free street parking is available across the road.
A bus stop is a short walk from The HUB 6163 on Rockingham Road at the Hamilton Hill shopping centre.
