About this space
The historic ‘Marines’ – the only three-storey, seafront terrace houses ever built in Australia – are the namesake, and stunning backdrop to the Marines Reserve, located beachside between Jetty & Terminus Streets, Grange.
Coastal pines and palms offer shade, so this grassy strip is a great place to lay out the yoga mat or the picnic rugs & enjoy the sea breeze.
The beachside Reserve features;
beach shower at the top of the path leading down to the beach
public bathrooms (toilets) nearby at Grange Jetty Reserve
direct access onto Coast Park’s dual walking and cycling path
nearby sights Grange Jetty, café of the same name, Grange Hotel and other eateries on Seaview & Military Roads
The Reserve connects to the Coast Park’s dual walking and cycling path, the Grange Jetty Reserve, and is walking distance to Grange Jetty Café, Grange Hotel, and other eateries on Seaview & Military Roads.
The stunning sunsets, the peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful backdrops in all directions will inspire poets, photographers and romantics alike. Showcasing the pristine Grange Beach and surrounds, Marines Reserve Grange has hosted wedding & anniversary ceremonies, sun salutations and many other memorable moments.
Examples of approved activities suitable for the Reserve;
Small scale community activities and/or services catering to all ages and cultural groups ie biodiversity and nature groups, child play groups etc.
Activities of a passive or limited active nature that promote a healthy active lifestyle e. tai chi, yoga etc.
Small family celebratory events.
