Carnarvon Reserve

These suburban open spaces which grace our maps and delight our communities are like hidden treasures. Carnarvon Reserve has been gracing residents of the adjoining cul-de-sacs and surrounding streets, along with the rest of West Croydon, for generations.

In its latest incarnation the park features;

• bicycle racks,

• 3x3 basketball court,

• tennis courts and netball ring,

• barbecue and shaded dining seating,

• playground

• public bathrooms (toilets)

With ample lawn and winding paths through the well-established shady garden spaces, the Carnarvon Reserve is truly an all-ages open space. Birthdays, family gatherings, friendly sports challenges, all are popular ways to spend time in this unfenced but secluded reserve. Nestled in away from traffic Carnarvon Reserve offers respite and delight in equal measure.

Examples of approved activities suitable for the Reserve;

• Community activities and/or services catering to all ages and cultural groups ie child play groups, dog training, biodiversity and nature activities etc.

• Fundraising, educational and community awareness events that support cultural diversity, health, fitness and general community wellbeing.

• Activities of a passive or active nature that promotes a healthy active lifestyle ie tai chi, yoga, outdoor fitness training groups, minor competitive sports.

• Small family celebratory events.
