Venue Facilities at CREEC
The Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC) offers modern and versatile venue facilities perfect for workshops, conferences, seminars, and meetings. We have two rooms available for hire, specifically designed for corporate and not-for-profit events.
The Melaleuca Room
The Melaleuca Room is a spacious venue that accommodates up to 60 people in a theatre-style setup or 45 at tables. This room features:
Access to kitchenette facilities
A covered veranda with stunning views of the Canning River Regional Park
A whiteboard for presentations
A wall-mounted TV screen for visual aids
Public WiFi for seamless connectivity
The Samphire Room
Ideal for smaller gatherings, the Samphire Room can seat 20 people theatre-style or 16 at tables. Amenities include:
Tea and coffee making facilities for your guests
A whiteboard for brainstorming sessions
A wall-mounted TV screen for presentations
Public WiFi for your convenience
Please note that our facilities are not available for social functions such as birthday parties, weddings, or family gatherings. Whether you're planning a corporate meeting or a community seminar, CREEC provides a professional environment to support your event's success.

Rules
Smoking is prohibited in any part of the premises and within 4 metres of all entrances to any building on the property.
Use of thumb tacks, Blutack and sticky tape for decorations is not permitted (including the floor and painted surfaces).
No decorations attached to fans or air conditioners.
No confetti or glitter to be used.
Use of open flame candles must be negotiated with Council prior to the event.
Ice is to be kept in suitable watertight containers.
Kegs are to be kept in the kitchen or other suitable locations.
The hirer must ensure that all items brought into the venue are removed and the space is returned to its original condition (self-pack-up).
The facility cannot be accessed prior to the approved booking time, after the approved booking time or during or prior to the following day for any purpose, including for the purpose of cleaning up after the event or for the removal of equipment or personal items. Additional fees will be incurred if the hirer accesses the facility outside of the approved booking times.
The hirer is responsible for leaving the facility in a clean and tidy condition. This includes sweeping the floors, mopping up any spillages, and ensuring that the kitchen and toilets are clean.

Our venue provides convenient parking bays, including accessible options, though availability cannot be guaranteed. The Canning River Eco Education Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring smooth access from car parks to the main entrance and accessible toilets.
