Brown Park Ovals

Brown Park Oval is a vital hub for residents to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities and come together in celebration of their area and its natural surroundings. The ovals are situated in the Brown Park Recreation Complex which includes Brown Park Community Centre, Swan View Youth Centre, Brock Pavilion, Rugby Clubrooms, tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, outdoor fitness equipment, and a large playground.

Upper oval facilities include:

• 165m x 135m reticulated natural turf sports field

• Can cater for senior AFL and cricket

• Artificial turf cricket pitch

• Seasonal AFL goalposts

• 50 lux sports floodlighting with four towers and metal halide lamps

• Access to Bruce Douglas Pavilion that has home and away change rooms, an umpire change room, and a large function room with a kiosk

Lower oval facilities include:

• 90m x 105m reticulated natural turf sports field

• Can cater for junior AFL and cricket

• Artificial turf cricket pitch

• Four cricket practice nets

• Access to Bruce Douglas Pavilion that has home and away change rooms, an umpire change room, and a large function room with a kiosk

Seasonal sporting clubs operate regularly at this oval and, as a result, casual hire is limited. Please see the Booking Schedule for available times. Applications for organised sporting use/training which conflicts with seasonal sporting codes may be declined.
