About this space
Overlooking the river with stunning views of the city, Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve (pictured) is a unique location perfect for your special day. A wide triangular turfed area, it sits in front of the restaurant, beside landmark trees and remnant bushland, and is a short walk down hill to the river's edge.
Wedding Ceremonies are the only booking we take for the Reserve. A maximum of 100 guests is permitted, but we recommend 60-80. This is a busy location, which can sometimes make parking difficult. There is very limited shelter at Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve so keep an eye on the weather forecast in the leadup to your booking.

Rules
Hire Period: Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve can only be hired for weddings. It can only be hired for a period of 3 hours. No more, no less. This includes set up and pack down.
Set-up & Design: No marquees are permitted on the site; All arches, arbours or fixed features must not exceed 3 x 3 metres and must be secured by weights (items are not to be staked into the ground); no confetti or rice permitted; rose petals are permitted but must be cleaned up at the end of the booking; no more than 50 outdoor chairs and one table may be brought on to the reserve.
Liquor: A liquor licence is required to consume alcohol at Goolugatup Heathcote. This licence can be applied for during checkout by adding the Liquor License option ($32) and submitting an online form. Alternatively, it can be completed in-person at City of Melville Civic Centre. Parking: Parking is available in the lower car park only. Disabled access parking is also available in the lower car park area.
Catering: The hirer is permitted to self-cater (i.e. canapés, beverages) however this must take place within the allocated hire area only. Food trucks are not permitted on site. Please contact Blue Water Restaurant directly on 9315 7700 to discuss any catering requirements (i.e. refreshments before/after ceremony).
Cleaning: The hirer is responsible for the set up and clean up of the venue. This must be done within the time that has been hired. Hirers must bring their own cleaning products. Rubbish must be removed from venue by hirer. Bins are located onsite next to Gyinning Ellen Brook Building (formerly known as Administration Building).
General: The hirer is responsible for the good order and decent behaviour of those present. Hirers must keep noise levels at a respectable level and not unduly impact on other site users and neighbouring residents. If a security callout is required due to any breach of the conditions outlined above the hirer will incur the full cost.
COVID-19 regulations: It is the hirers responsibility to comply with all current State Government COVID-19 restrictions and regulations. Please see here for current restrictions and regulations. Failure to comply may result in fines and cancellation of future hires.

Ample public parking is located in the lower car park. There is no parking in the upper carpark, drop off area or clock tower courtyard. Accessible parking spaces are available in the lower car park area.
