Events Hall, Meeting and Activities Room for Hire at Encounter, West Auckland

Our events hall is a fun informal space that can be used for so many different events and gatherings. The space includes:

• A large stage and back stage

• Huge screen and projector

• Lectern

• Mirrors

• Speakers and sound system

• Comfy casual seating

• Theatre style seating

• Small kitchen and serving hatch

• Kids play area and toys

• Whiteboards

• Outdoor area with picnic tables and lawn

• Air hockey table

• Wifi

For kids birthday parties...

For little kids, you can hire a bouncy castle for either inside or outside. There is tons of space for games and kids entertainers. There is plenty of toys and games and a mini meeting house. The comfy seating works well for adults and you can prep & serve your food in the kitchen.

For bigger kids, the air hockey is great, the stage could be used for karaoke or you could host a movie party.

For rehearsals ...

The main space is carpet panels which are great for drama, improv, dance etc. The space would also work for choirs or music groups.**
For youth groups and organisations...**

This space works well for small shows, rehearsing, overnight camps, retreats, workshops, arts and crafts, after school programs...

For celebrations...

The stage is great for bands, there is a great set up for dancing or chatting.

Catering and Alcohol

There is a small kitchen which is great for basic food prep, morning tea and serving food. It has a fridge, sink, urn and water dispenser with basic cutlery and crockery.

For bigger catering needs, we have a community kitchen that can be rented, and is just a few metres from the hall. You are also welcome to use external caterers or ask us for a local recommendation. No alcohol allowed in the events hall space.
