Our mission is to provide a well resourced, flexible space that supports the needs of a caring and connected community.

About this space
Our rooms are bright, welcoming spaces with natural light in all seasons, heating and air-conditioning included. Perfect for workshops, classes, rehearsals and gatherings, our rooms are multi-functional and flexible.
Both our rooms have access to shaded outdoor areas and the Centre's playground plus the use of our small, but well stocked kitchenette.
The facility has ample extras which are all included in your hire. This includes: a number of large tables (14+), adult and children's chairs (100+), small children's tables (8+). There is a whiteboard in each room and outside sinks. The kitchenette has a communal fridge, microwave, dishwasher, urn, kettle and 'on tap' filtered boiling and chilled water. The cupboards are full of plates (dinner and side), tea cups, miscellaneous cooking and serving platters, bowls and utensils, cutlery and children's plastic plates and cups. Please feel welcome to make use of it all!
The Space is available to hire as a whole facility, or you have the option to share use and hire each room individually.

Rules
The Vic Park Community Centre is shared, communal space therefore hirers are responsible for the health and safety of their guests/participants, booking time for their set up and pack down, keeping noise to a considerate level (especially when hiring one room/half the space), being respectful of all users (particularly in communal areas) and cleaning up after themselves.
A bond may be applicable to your booking between $200 and $1000 depending on the booking risk, please see a list below of deductions or consequences should any damages or misuse occur:
Additional/basic cleaning - $55-$250
Additional hire time beyond booked slot - $55 p.hour
Lost swipe card / key - $120
Callout fee to open door or failure to secure door - $55
Air-conditioner / heater left on overnight / per day - $77
Water tap left running in toilet per day - $55
Lights in toilet left on overnight / per day - $22
Any damage to facility or resources $ as per quotation obtained by the Centre for the repairs or rectification to prior condition
Admin fee for replacement of missing items - $33
Any wilful misuse, harassment, disrespect or threatening behaviour or the violation of either our terms and conditions or space rules will result in an instant request to exit or booking cancellation at any notice.

Additional details
There is free parking at all times in the public carpark accessible via Kent Street, and additional parking at the Leisurelife centre accessible via Gloucester Street.
The 170, 176, 177, 179, 220 and 284 Transperth buses all pass stop numbers 11715 and 11727, and the 960 Transperth bus passes stop numbers 27504 and 11788, all of which are just a 5-minute (or less) walk to the centre!
