Hepburn Shire is in Dja Dja Wurrung country in central Victoria. On these lands, Djaara have performed age-old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal. Our shire is close to Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo & the Macedon Ranges. Our forests, natural mineral springs and rolling landscapes make it a popular destination for visitors. Our shire also boasts walking trails, locally-grown food & wine, numerous dining options, extensive accommodation, galleries, markets and festivals.

About this space

Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens is only available to be booked for wedding ceremonies (maximum three hour duration). We are unable to accept bookings for any other private event at this location.

Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens are located centrally within Daylesford and offer some of the most beautiful views across the township and neighboring lands. With stunning tree and fern specimens, the Gardens are also home to the Pioneers' Memorial Tower, conservatory and Wombat Hill House Cafe. It is a popular spot for picnics, relaxation and has a scenic drive route around the hill.

Rules

Wedding permits are issued for three (3) hours duration.
No alcohol may be consumed between the hours of 10:00pm and 10:00am
All litter generated is to be removed by the hirer at the conclusion of the ceremony. Some public litter bins are located and available for all users of the reserve but must not be overloaded.
The use of confetti or rice is prohibited. Rose petals are permitted in moderation.
Public and pedestrian access to the reserve must be maintained at all times
Please abide by any public/road signage in the reserve
Any dogs must be on lead at all times

Host's Cancellation Policy

100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.

There is a car park located at the top of the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens - limited parking available
Limited on-street parking is also available on in Central Springs Road
