The Meeting Place Community Centre is a South Fremantle icon and is at the heart of bustling and lively café and dining strip on South Terrace. The Parlour is a bright, comfortable and clean space near the front of the venue. This room is most suitable for community groups, small group meetings, social groups and interviews. It is available for ongoing bookings as well as one-off sessions. The space includes access to a full shared kitchen and disabled access bathroom facilities.

Rules
Bump-in and bump-out must be included in the hire time.
All facilities must be left clean after each use of the venue. Hirers must sweep floors, throw all rubbish in the bin, clean all crockery and cutlery that has been used throughout the hire, wipe down dirty surfaces as a result of hire and return all chairs/tables etc to the location in which they were found. Additional cleaning will be at the expense of the applicant.
All lights and fans must be turned off and all doors are to be locked at the conclusion of hire. Main door automatically locks when closed.
Smoking, alcohol and anti-social behaviour are strictly prohibited from the Meeting Place Community Centre.
The use of masking tape, blue tac, nails, hooks, staples or any other fixing device is prohibited on any internal or external surface, including the walls and doors. Any paint chips result in a penalty being deducted from the bond paid.
Confetti, balloons, streamers, paint, smoke machines, bubble machines, naked flames or any similar materials are not permitted either inside or outside City facilities due to occupational health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.
City facilities do not have a commercial kitchen; food must be prepared off site and only served from the kitchen.
The hirer should use only tagged and tested electrical equipment. If a hirer uses equipment not tagged & tested and it causes an electrical fault (including power to trip) and invokes a call out, this fee will be charged to the hirer.
The applicant is liable for all damages and must have current insurance cover for Public liability to the value of $10,000,000.00. Casual hirers can use The Meeting Place spaces for less than 10 hires in a financial year without public liability insurance.
No items are permitted to be stored or to be dropped off to the centre outside of booking dates/times. You must ensure that you have booked enough time for all deliveries and pick-ups to occur.
The Meeting Place is staffed Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm. Bookings within this time frame do not require an access card.
Bookings outside of the above office hours require an access card and it is the hirer’s responsibility to email The Meeting Place at least 5 working days prior to organise an access card collection. If an access card is not picked up before hire and the hirer is unable to use the room, no refund or credit will be offered.
After-hours hire inductions are to take place during office hours; email [email protected] to organise an induction now.
Failure to return or loss of an assigned access card will cause bond to be retained.
Call out fees for The Meeting Place staff or other council works caused by the hirer, or resident complaints, will incur a fee to the hirer.
Cancellation within seven days will forfeit the total hire fees paid.
