About this space
The Thomastown Neighbourhood House Room is a small meeting / training room/ office space, located in the Thomastown Library and Community Centre. The space has large windows letting in natural light and providing a beautiful outlook onto the leafy woodland and courtyard of the Thomastown Library. The space is ideal for meetings or training sessions/ classes for up to 12 people.
Kitchen Area: Tea and coffee facility, Cups, Plates, Cutlery, Small Fridge, Basin, Washing up area, Microwave
Meeting / training Equipment: 5 flip tables, 1 fixed whiteboard, 12 chairs
Examples of activities appropriate for the space: meditation class, women’s circle, English class, community group or focus group meetings, counselling or hot desking.
Examples of activities not appropriate for the space: birthday parties, exercise or fitness class, large group activities, loud activities like rehearsals.

Rules
Supervision of Minors
Where the hirer intends to use the Thomastown Neighbourhood House for providing programs/activities for people under the age of 18 years, the hirer shall provide sufficient, competent, adult supervision at all times.
The hirer or any person under their direction shall obey all directions or orders given by Thomastown Neighbourhood House, Library or Council staff as to the supervision of the Centre and functions being conducted thereon.
Permission to use the TNH room is not transferable from one individual or organization to another. The person signing the original application will be held responsible for proper use and ensuring that the room and kitchen is left in a clean and tidy state and any dishes used are washed and put away.
Consumption of Alcohol
Alcohol cannot be consumed.Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all Council facilities and as such is not permitted in the Centre. Smoking must be restricted to outdoor areas only and any discarded butts disposed of appropriately.Cleaning of Thomastown Neighbourhood House
It is the responsibility of the hirer to leave the facility clean and tidy. All food scraps, rubbish, decorations and equipment are to be removed or (in the case of tables/chairs) correctly stored immediately at the conclusion of each booking. The hirer of the Thomastown Neighbourhood House is responsible for disposal of all rubbish at the Centre.Any stains or damages caused should be reported to Thomastown Neighbourhood House 0488 224 439 as soon as possible. Cleaning must be completed by the time specified when booked.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to provide any additional equipment necessary to ensure the premises are left clean and tidy. Please note washing up facilities are available in the TNH Room Kitchen Area and a vacuum cleaner is also available for the hirer’s use to ensure the space is left tidy.Photocopying, print and administrative services
The the hirer may use the TNH printer and B&W photocopier for an extra charge.Signage

No storage is available at the facilityAny items left by the Hirer or stored at the facility run the risk of being utilised by other parties. Thomastown Neighbourhood House accepts no responsibility for use, damage or theft of these items.

Ample parking is available at the front and the rear of the Thomastown Library and Community Centre, where the TNH Room is located.
