Rainbow Room! Function room perfect for kids parties, classes and art workshops

St Heliers Centre was founded on the principle of caring for our local community, so we're happy to share our excellent facilities with groups, individuals and families who are looking for a safe and welcoming space.

The Glendowie Community Centre is an Auckland Council facility which St Heliers Community Centre manages. If you're looking for a kids party venue the Rainbow Room is perfect for you! The space is a small function room ideal for kids birthday party, as well as kids activity classes and even creative workshops. The space leads out to a playground with shade, great to entertain the little ones.

Please note that there is a $250 SpaceProtect/Bond fee. This will be fully refunded to you if the space is left in a satisfactory condition.\

Weekend bookings minimum 3 hours

The space includes:

• Trestle tables and chairs

• Kids hand-washing station

• Heatpump

• Free wifi

• Use of kitchen

• Access to public reserve

• Access to public playground

Eating & Drinking

The space comes with a kitchen that includes: crockery/cutlery, Kids Party plates & cups, serving ware, microwave, oven and trays, hot water broiler, trolley, fridge and freezer. You will need to BYO tea, coffee and milk as well as BBQ.

Third party catering is permitted. Note that the kitchen size may not suit this, but it is allowed.

All rubbish must be removed completely from the address. Please BYO bin bag and tea towels. You must book enough time to clean up - all cleaning equipment is provided.

Decorations & Leaving Property/Food

You may put up decorations as long as they are removed after. You may be able to drop off drinks, cake etc the day before by arrangement with the venue. Please note that although the venue is locked, we're not responsible if anything happens to your property if stored overnight.

Accessibility

You will need to pick up a swipe card during working hours at St Heliers Centre. The centre is bronze rated wheelchair accessible. All rooms accessible by wheelchair and there is one disabled toilet. You can drive within a few metres of the entrance. There is plenty of room for dropping off or unloading.

Parking

There is free parking outside the centre or 100m along the reserve boundary. The car park is locked at 9pm.
