The Shire extends across the Peel Inlet and the Swan Coastal Plain into the Darling Scarp, including about 77,000 hectares of State forests. The Murray River flows all year throughout the district. The Shire is centred in the town of Pinjarra, one of the oldest towns in WA.

About this space
The Sir Ross McLarty Third Oval is shared between the Pinjarra Football Club and Pinjarra Cricket Club. The oval was funded by the Pinjarra Primary School and the Shire of Murray, being one of the first ovals with a partnership such as this.
The main feature on the oval is the astroturf pitch with adjacent cricket practice nets. Please note that the turf cricket wicket is used for match play and is not to be available for casual hire or use.
