Lakeside Pakenham Scout Hall

Lakeside Pakenham Scout Hall is the newest community facility in Pakenham. Our core purpose is to coordinate the Lakeside Pakenham Scout Group, however we also have fabulous community facilities that we share/hire. This is our main hall, a great multi functional space suitable for regular groups or bigger celebration events. This space is ideal for: Community gatherings and groups, classes, film screenings, consultations, celebrations like training and workshops, markets, fairs, and so much more.

The hall space benefits from a high ceiling and high windows to let in light. It has great acoustics, and doesn't carry sound outside the space. It has plenty of natural light, however there is also large down lights. The space has two split systems for your heating and cooling needs. There is also access to 40 4ft tresstle tables, 3 6ft tresstles and 80 chairs. On one wall is a projector and screen (note: BYO HDMI Cable). The kitchen is off to the side - with an instant wall urn, cups, plates and cutlery for approximately 20 people, dishwasher, microwave, and large oven with ceramic 4 plate stove (Limited cooking equipment is avaliable). A portable bench top urn is also avalible upon request. There is limited fridge space avaliable that is shared with the Scout Group and Regular Hirers.

There is also a meeting room off the main hall way that has 4 tables and 12 chairs, plus a data projector (BYO HDMI cable) and whiteboards. Unfortunately we can't hire out just the meeting room as the kitchen and toilets are all off the main hall. So it is an entire venue hire only.

The hall has slots available for regular and casual hire! We have reduced rates for regular bookings, message us through this page to discuss what you need. We promote all ongoing activity groups like yoga or classes through our facebook page which has over 100 active members plus other followers. Regular bookings are invoiced monthly.

You are welcome to decorate the hall space for your event. However, you cannot use pins or blu-tack or anything that would damage the hall walls. The walls are wood panel - blu-tack may leave a mark. Please note the hall must be left as you found it, so all decorations - including ties must be removed. Please no confetti, rice or party poppers in the outside area. The hall space is large enough for a bouncy castle. It's fine to use an external event hire company if you want to bring your own furniture, table cloths, drapes etc. All decorations and anything you have brought in for your event must be removed by the end of your booking, we can't accommodate storage or set up/pack down before or after your booking time has ended. Please book the time you need in the hall space to set up, pack down and clean as the hall may be used directly before or after you. All rubbish must be removed from the property and taken away with you. It is expected that the venue is left as clean and tidy as you found it. Cleaning equipment is provided.
