SpacetoCo Host since November 2019I'm working on creating a city that's more supportive of creative ideas and projects. I'm also a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum and a passionate traveler from Tennessee.
About this space
XCHC is a creative space that offers affordable studios, licensed venue, showcase, gallery, shop, accommodation and kitchen spaces to the creative industries. The overlap of mixed-use spaces and creative practices makes this venue the only one like it in the city, but also not always the perfect space for some events because of it's unique setup.
We're a not-for-profit, so your money goes towards sustaining the space and the creative community that uses it and our focus is helping artists create sustainable livelihoods through their practice whether it's hosting, selling, entertaining, or making.
Our focus is on creative events and exhibitions ranging from fashion shows, poetry slams, open-mics, concerts, exhibitions & openings, movie nights, workshops, classes, communal meals, panel discussions, showcase nights, and networking/meetups.

Rules
Following the steps outlined on our website keeps our operational costs low and our prices affordable. If you're unable to follow our steps or make demands that aren't listed and don't align with our values, we'll suggest another venue. Because we have accommodation close by, we cannot always host live music events, but this is only some of the time, so ask first. We operate from our base price/hire cost of the space itself. Any additional requests (catering, bar service, help on the night etc.) will be added to the cost.
