Wilston Scout Hall

Wilston Scout Den is ideally located in the middle of the Grange community hub. The den was built by scouts in 1938, and its core purpose is the provision of scouting experiences for the Wilston Scout Group members. Its location, next to the Grange library, park with playground and basketball courts across the road, make the Scout Den the perfect place for children's birthday parties, community gatherings and various classes and activities.

The space can fit up to 90 people including a small fenced-in deck with two unisex bathrooms (one with wheelchair access.). The whole den and scout room hire includes access to the kitchen with oven/stove top, fridge, freezer, microwave and a large hot water urn. It is requested that you bring your own cutlery, glassware, crockery and cooking and serving equipment. You may use external caterers for your event. Please note the kitchen has no external access, so kit/food would need to be carried through the hall.

You are welcome to decorate the space for your event. However, you cannot use pins or tape or anything that would damage the hall walls. Blu-tac is OK. Please note the hall must be left as you found it, so all decorations - including ties must be removed. It's OK to use an external event hire company if you want to bring your own furniture, tablecloths, drapes, activities etc. All decorations and anything you have brought in for your event must be removed by the end of your booking, we can't accommodate storage or set up/pack down before or after your booking time has ended. Please book the time you need in the hall space to set up, pack down and clean as the hall may be used directly before or after you.

The scout den is located in the middle of a number of playgrounds, green spaces, and half basketball courts as well as the Grange Library and Grange Bowls Club. Both the Library café and Bowls Club serve coffee and baked treats most days.

The scout room has wheelchair access via a ramp and a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

Upon booking you will be sent the access to the den will be via a key in a lockbox at the den.
