A SpacetoCo booking is mandatory if you wish to hold a public event or organised sporting, fitness or recreation activity at one of the Shire’s parks or reserves. Bookings are also required for private social gatherings if you will be arranging a bouncy castle or other such activity which may impact public users of the park or reserve. This will ensure that the reserve is suitable for the requested activity and that it is available during the time you wish to hold your event. No other bookings will be accepted for the area you requested, however casual users may still use the general vicinity (family picnics, dog walkers, etc.). The area you have booked will not be fenced off to the general public. An event organiser can request exclusive use of a public space - this will incur a higher fee than what is listed on the SpacetoCo website and require the submission of an event application form. It is at the discretion of the event organiser to allow or deny access to the event and to fence, rope or section off the required area.
The event organiser is required to keep attendees and guests away from stone pillars and rock formations on the beach. These areas are culturally sensitive and any damage sustained that can be attributed to this booking will negatively affect the organisers ability to make bookings through the Shire in the future.
