The Auckland Table Tennis Association has convenient and welcoming community facilities that can be booked online by the hour! Located minutes from Newmarket, Mt Eden and Epsom with free parking, and affordable rates, this facility is perfect for your group or event.
The space is suitable for regular or casual hire. It works really well for: classes, teaching, community groups, kids groups, mah jong, chess, networking, special interest groups, hobby groups, societies, book clubs, writing groups...
The Upstairs Lounge is a comfortable space that overlooks our table tennis arena. The space hire includes:
Tables and seating for 60 people
Comfy sofas
Screen for presenting
Kitchen for tea/coffee and serving food
Whiteboard
Wifi
Eating and drinking
You are welcome to bring and serve food in this space. The kitchen has crockery and cutlery, a hot water boiler and a microwave. You're welcome to make tea & coffee, but please bring your own supplies or pay a donation at checkout to use ours. If you use the kitchen, please book enough time to clean up and leave it as you found it. You may use external caterers.
You may serve alcohol and drink responsibly. You may not sell alcohol as we are not licensed.
Noise and privacy
The space overlooks the table tennis arena - so it's not silent as some sound travels up when games are in play. The space is great for groups that don't mind some background noise, and don't need to make too much noise - e.g. group conversation level is perfect. The space doesn't suit groups wishing to play or broadcast music. The space is private, however staff may occasionally need to pop in to access the kitchen.
Regular bookings
We would love to welcome you into our family as a regular hirer. If you're looking to establish a new group, we can offer the first 5 sessions for free so that you can trial the group risk free without costs. We will work with you to determine if your group or event is a good fit for the space. Please message us if you would like to discuss a regular booking and our introductory offer.
Audio visual
The space has a medium sized fixed screen that you can use to present. It has HDMI and VGA connections. Please bring your own cables.
Access
The facility is staffed and you will be welcomed on arrival. The space is upstairs, so not suitable for disabled users. The space has its own male and female bathrooms.

By entering this Agreement, the Hirer warrants and confirms to abide by all rules and directives published and updated by the government from time to time at https://covid19.govt.nz/. The Hirer understands and accepts that Auckland Table Tennis Association may immediately terminate this Agreement if the Hirer breaches any of the government rules or directives.

Additional details
The space benefits from free private parking spaces operating on a first come first served basis. They are busier on evenings and weekends. There is on street parking not far away. The space is under 15 mins walk from Newmarket train station and 2 minutes walk from the 295 bus stop. Westfield and Newmarket town centre are a short walk away and offer many cafes, shops and restaurants.
