About this space
The Common Room is 8 x 6.5 m with direct kitchen and garden access. It has a smart TV, wifi, lounge chairs, play equipment if needed and access to a children's bathroom. It's our less formal space. Tables and chairs are available for workshop and meeting room set ups.
The Hall is 9 x 6.5 m with direct kitchen and garden access. It has a smart TV and wifi. Tables and chairs are available for workshop and meeting room set ups.
At Milligan, our kitchen is a shared space between the Hall and the Common Room. At times this mean there can be a bit of noise transfer. If you require the room to be quiet and the Hall is also booked at the same time, please give us a call so we can chat about how we can make it work for you :)
Just a quick heads-up for birthday party bookings! A $50 bond will be held from the account you used to book a week before your booking. Don't worry, this will be refunded after your booking as long as there's no damage or cleaning required. Think of it like a ‘hotel hold’. It’s a pre-authorisation that Space to Co place on your card about 3-4 days before your booking. If no claim is made by the Host (Milligan), Space to Co will automatically release this hold approximately 3-4 days after your booking. Rules
Just a quick heads-up for Birthday party bookings! A $50 bond will be held from the account you used to book a week before your booking. Don't worry, this will be refunded after your booking as long as there's no damage or cleaning required.
CLEANING: A clean space feels good. If you leave it the way you found it, everyone is happy! (Just don’t forget the bins – they can be emptied into the big green bins out the back. We don’t cope well with smells before our morning coffee). If you find that the bins are full, please take your rubbish home with you. We occasionally have resident crows stop by that like to get into the rubbish bags and spread it everywhere!
DAMAGES: No one tries to break things, but accidents happen. Let us know and we can work together to make sure the centre continues to be a great space for everyone to use.
KITCHENETTE FACILITIES: We have a kitchenette. Feel free to use it, but bear in mind it is a shared space so be nice to other people using it too. Don't forget to clean up when you're finished!
TIME OF HIRE: SET UP AND PACK UP: It takes time to set up and pack down, we know this. You’re booking includes a 15-minute window either side to ensure you have time to do so.
Just a heads-up: if you've got signage planned for your event, we'll need to give it a thumbs-up beforehand.

CAR PARK:
The car park is at the front on the left side as you drive in and also at the rear of the building via Doolan Street. There is a Disabled Parking Bay at the front of Milligan. Parking on the right of the car park is not permitted during the week, this parking is reserved for Milligan House Childcare as it is a separate organisation, weekends are fine.
BUS STOP:
There is a bus stop out the front of Milligan, please see bus timetable.
