SpacetoCo Host since October 2023Boroondara District is one of Victoria’s largest and most successful Scout Districts. Communities from across Boroondara have set up a network of vibrant Scouting Groups. These vibrant Groups exist only with the efforts of voluntary Leaders and parents that believe in the benefits and teachings that Scouting has to offer to their children. The Youth, Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers of Boroondara gain valuable skills and develop more as people – all while having fun.

The Boroondara District Scouts Hall is a welcoming and vibrant community hub located in the heart of Boroondara, a picturesque and culturally diverse district in Victoria, Australia. Nestled within a lush green setting, this iconic hall serves as the central gathering place for the Scouts community and beyond.

There are 2x 10.5 KW inverter air conditioning units mounted on the west wall of the hall.
Kitchen with Oven, Stove, Sink, Fridge, Microwave, and Urn.
Hall is wheelchair accessible via a portable ramp in the hall however there are no accessible toilets.
The power to the aircon units is controlled by the main power and lighting switches underneath the main switchboard.
Remote control operates both air conditioner units.
The kitchen light switch and hot water button are on the left side wall as you enter the kitchen.
Hotwater system is activated by button the left-hand wall for approx. 2hrs, it will take about 30-45mins to heat up, if indicator goes off, press again for extra time.
The fridge should be plugged into the power point marked fridge only, on the left-hand side of the kitchen above the bench. This power point remains active when the power is turned off at the foyer.

Rules
Please Note: Casual Booking are a minimum of 4 hours and SpaceProtect applies.
SpaceProtect is a refundable bond if the hall is left clean and no issues. A hold amount of $250 is applied against your credit card 4 days prior to your event and released approx 7 days after the event.
18th and 21st Birthday parties and schoolies celebrations are not permitted.
Parties for other older children/teenage birthdays will only be an ‘Approved Use’ if the young person is a current member of Scouts Victoria and the function is open to a broad range of youth and adults, and has adult supervision.
Rubbish must be removed by the user, unless the bin collection is the next couple of days, and the bins have sufficient space. The bins need to be placed near signposts on Fordham Avenue opposite the Hall.
Check the Council Bin Collection Calendar on the notice board in the foyer, Red bin waste day is marked with a circle, all other bins collected each Tuesday every week.
Chairs and tables should be put away.
The Fridge should be left empty after use.
Parkland outside the hall is not included in this booking and any council rules for use must be followed

It's close to trains with Willison train station on the Alamein Line a 200m walk up Shalless drive and Tram route 70 on Riversdale road 350m walk north on Fordham Rd.
