Onepoto Domain Hall

Hosted by Onepoto Domain Hall

SpacetoCo Host since May 2021 · 500 bookings

A community hall in the stunning Onepoto domain, in the heart of Northcote.

About this space

Onepoto Hall is situated in the beautiful Onepoto domain, which has one of Auckland's best play spaces, bush walks, bike tracks, a pond and even a flying fox! The hall is home to the Auckland Australian Football league, and we welcome community usage of the space outside of our fixtures and training.

The hall is a great space for the community to use. It's a big open space, with great views of the park and a kitchen. The hall is perfect for kids parties, adult parties, weddings, fitness classes, church groups, social groups, sports groups, corporate functions, staff training, business planning, rehearsals, small community groups and lots more.

The hall hire includes:

  • 35 plastic adult chairs

  • 7 long trestle tables

  • Use of Kitchen

  • 15 children's chairs and 4 children's tables

Catering and Alcohol

You are welcome to self cater or use external caterers for your event. The kitchen includes fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher and hot water boiler. There is a public electric BBQ in the park very close to the hall. You will need to bring all crockery, cutlery and glassware.

You may not serve or sell alcohol on the premises.

Cleaning, Set up and Pack down

You must book enough time to set up, clean up and pack down your event. Wet mopping should be completed 30minutes before the hall is vacated to give the floor time to dry for the next hall user. A high standard of cleaning is expected. The hall hire includes basic cleaning supplies and there is a cleaning checklist on the noticeboard and in the hire terms and conditions. You must bring your own rubbish bags and take your rubbish home. The hall is not inspected after each hire, however if a complaint is received from a succeeding hirer, it is investigated. The hall is regularly inspected.

Each booking will require a $100 bond which we will secure 4 days before the booking starts. You'll receive more information about the bond process when the booking is accepted or see the section on SpaceProtect below. The bond will be released following provision of proof (photos), through SpacetoCo or via email, that all requirements have been met (eg hall is left clean and tidy, no damage).

Audio, Visual and Tech

There are plenty of power points around the hall. There is no screen or projector and no speakers or sound system, however you are welcome to bring your own presenting and speaking kit. It is a small enough space that amplified sound isn't normally required. No amplified sound after 7pm. There is no Wifi but decent 4G coverage. There is no heating included as part of the hall hire. You are welcome to bring your own, at your own risk.

Decorations

You may put up decorations for your event, but these must be able to be taken down without damaging walls or fittings. They must be removed at the end of your event.

Accessibility

The hall is wheelchair accessible via a ramp. The park has plenty of pathways which are wheelchair friendly. There are disabled car parking spaces available in the park car park on a first come, first served basis.

Evening hires

The park gates are locked by security between 9-9:30pm during daylight savings, or and around 7pm during non-daylight savings. If your hire is finishing after this time, all vehicles need to be removed from the park and parked on the surrounding streets.
