About this space
At Remuera Baptist Church, we love to invite the community to use our range of spaces for classes, meetings, concerts, community events, and other functions.
The auditorium is a large and open 13.2m x 12.1m space with seating for 180 people and 200 if the sliding doors separating the lounge and auditorium are opened (on request). This space is great for larger seminars or workshops. The pews are set out facing the front; however, these can be moved to accommodate other activities, such as young children's movement groups. Please note that no alcohol can be consumed on the premises.

Rules
Please note that the Remuera Baptist Church spaces are only available for community events (not commercial events), and RBC reserves the right to accept or decline all bookings at our discretion.
Space Rules:
No alcoholic beverages are permitted to be served or consumed on the property, including the car park.
No smoking or vaping on the property, including the car park.
You are responsible for all breakages that occur during your use. Any breakages or damage must be reported to our Property Manager.
You must ensure the reasonable behaviour of all persons in attendance and ensure that no excessive noise occurs.
Ensure that nothing is attached to the walls of the auditorium or lounge.
When vacating the premises, ensure cleanliness by wiping down all tables and keeping the floor clean. Keep the kitchen tidy, wash and put away dishes, remove and dispose of rubbish, and leave both the upstairs and downstairs toilets clean. Arrange spaces as they were found. Please note that a cleaning charge may be applied if necessary.
Vacate premises promptly at the time stated.
When vacating the building, ensure the premises are secure by locking the doors, shutting the windows, and turning off the lights, heaters, and appliances.
For regular users, prompt payments are appreciated, as per the arrangement with the office administrator.
No audiovisual or sound equipment may be used in the main auditorium or lounge without the approval of an RBC technician.
RBC accepts no liability for damage to or loss of property stored on our premises. The user is responsible for insurance for such property.
A basic first-aid kit is located in the kitchen.
Please familiarise yourselves with the location of fire alarms and Fire Action notices throughout the facility. In the event of a fire, please call 111 immediately and evacuate the building. The evacuation meeting point is in the car park.
Bond prices for hiring are event-dependent and will be issued at the church's discretion, agreed upon by the mutual parties.
Your upcoming event may be cancelled if we are unable to process your SpaceProtect Pre-Event Hold from the payment method you've provided.
RBC reserves the right to amend these conditions of use.

Parking conditions for hire of Remuera Baptist Church.
During Remuera Baptist Kindergarten's operating hours, the car park is exclusively reserved for kindergarten use. Attendees of any function in the church or church hall must park elsewhere.
Hirers or users of the church for any function during these hours shall appoint a parking warden who shall allow only kindergarten staff or caregivers access to the car park and shall direct attendees of the church function to park elsewhere.
The parking warden shall commence duties one hour before the church function begins and shall remain on duty until the function has ended.
Access exceptions
In the case of funerals, the hearse may enter and park beside the church entry doors, close to the building, to enable kindergarten vehicles to pass by.
In the case of vehicles with disabled passengers, the car may drive to the front door to enable easy access for the disabled passenger, and then the vehicle must be driven on to park elsewhere. In the case of cars with disabled drivers, access to the car park is permitted.
Parking Warden
The appointment of a parking warden shall be the responsibility of the church's hirer.
The parking warden shall wear an appropriate Hi Vis jacket, which shall be obtainable from the Church office OR the manager or senior teacher of the kindergarten on the day of hire.
